Nederlandse Zweefvlieg Cup now on WeGlide
Finally, it is official. The Netherlands took the same step as Germany, Poland, Switzerland, USA, Australia and South Africa. WeGlide is their new host of the national competition. We appreciate their trust and are ready to push gliding to the next level. Nick Hanenburg (Competition & Selection Committee Gliding) and Frank Schellenberg (Account Manager Gliding, KNVvL) were heavily involved in pushing this forward, thank you, guys. Following is a statement for their decision:
As the KNVvL, we recently undertook an in-depth evaluation to determine which platform best supports the growth and development of our pilots, while also inspiring the current and new generation of glider enthusiasts.
Our research considered various aspects, including functionalities, user experience, recent innovations of the platforms. Another key criteria was the platform’s ability to engage pilots at all levels. This ranges from beginners, just starting their cross-country adventures, to seasoned glider pilots with decades of experience. Based on these factors, WeGlide surfaced as the leading platform. WeGlide excels in user experience, offering a modern interface with story-telling elements that enhance motivation and inspiration. The platforms rich functionalities serve all pilots, providing opportunities for growth and development.
We are confident that WeGlide is the future platform that can best serve the Dutch gliding community, driving the sport forward and encouraging engagement across all levels.
We encourage all Dutch pilots to join WeGlide and participate in our national competition, and embrace the opportunities this platform offers.
